Publication

About

Markets & News is an independent financial publication focused on primary-source reporting, cross-asset market context and explainable portfolio decisions.

Coverage is organized around companies, markets, the economy, rates and commodities. SEC filings, company releases, central-bank publications, government data and other primary documents are preferred wherever they can answer the question directly. Third-party reporting, transcripts, feeds and market data are used as discovery and context inputs and are identified as such.

What we are building

The newsroom combines timely financial reporting with the MN Simulated Portfolio, a $1 million hypothetical portfolio managed by artificial intelligence workflows designed to use context surfaced by MN sources to formulate trading strategy.

Review and accountability

Automated systems may assist with discovery, research organization, analysis and drafting. Important factual claims are checked against the underlying sources before publication, and encrypted editorial packages are reviewed before they are accepted. Material corrections are documented on the Corrections page.

Staff pen names

Markets & News may publish reporting under staff pen names. These bylines may represent collaborative newsroom work, and each profile collects reporting associated with that byline’s coverage areas.
